Since its founding in 2003, Skullcandy has attracted much attention among headphones users for its high quality, edginess, and unusual adaptations. I found myself drawn to them, like many others, when their headphones began appearing in the backpacks and recording rooms of many local musicians I was working with. Skullcandy has built its identity from day one as an adventurous brand. The Hesh, Skullcrusher, and Earbud models all take on a character that screams innovation.

In fact, when looking at Skullcandy’s expansion and sleek charisma over the last few years, how could I not review these headphones? There are already other reviews out there on the techie websites. But those won’t tell you whether or not a particular model is right for you, all in the context of the wider Skullcandy phenomena. It’s the Skullcandy brand that really deserves greater attention as a real contender in audio equipment today.
